
Comprehensive School Site, Site project list
The governing board has approved the following lists as considerations for funding through the resources available to the district with the passage of Measure W. The projects listed below represent priorities established by the community, staff and administration of the schools for whom projects are listed. The completion of these projects is subject to constructability plans developed by the district’s architects, are dependent on bids submitted, and may be influenced by State construction funds through application for applicable projects. Project funding includes all resources available to the district including; General obligation bond funds, developer fees, deferred maintenance funds, and redevelopment agency funds. Timelines for project completion is subject to resource availability in each successive fiscal year that project funds are available. Project construction prioritization will take place with input from site administration, facility staff and is subject to board approval in accordance with the practice of the district. Projects listed are in no particular order.
ANTELOPE VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
• Design and reconstruct main student parking lot adjacent to the stadium
• Install scoreboards, new backboards in small gym – for game play use
• Upgrade and add additional exterior lighting, locations various
• Upgrade and add additional video camera security system components
• Add additional drinking fountains / behind locker room buildings (exterior)
• Add air conditioning to cafeteria
• Install energy management system for school
Construct special education complex for severe special education population
HIGHLAND HIGH SCHOOL
• Paint school’s exterior / all
• Add additional drinking fountains / outdoor use
• Replace main entrance exterior doors (student entrance)
• Athletic facility upgrades / various
LITTLEROCK HIGH SCHOOL
• Upgrade and add additional exterior lighting, locations various
• Add additional drinking fountains / outdoor use
• Upgrade and add additional video camera security system components
• Renovate science labs as needed for student use
• Refurbish locker rooms for physical education (boys and girls)
• Athletic facility upgrades / various
LANCASTER HIGH SCHOOL
• Convert regular classrooms (3) to science labs (2) / increasing lab stations for student use
• Athletic facility upgrades / various
• Refurbish locker rooms for physical education (boys and girls)
• Add food services serving facility in 500’s area
• Upgrade and add additional video camera security system components
PALMDALE HIGH SCHOOL
• Replace aging modular buildings (7) in the 800’s area
• Modernize the teacher dining area adjacent to the cafeteria
• Construct special education complex for severe special education population
• Athletic facility upgrades / various
• Upgrade and add additional video camera security system components
• Add exterior lighting / locations various
• Upgrade perimeter fencing / locations various
• Replace band room HVAC unit
QUARTZ HILL HIGH SCHOOL
• Add security fencing and railing on site / locations various, incl. separation fence at new modulars near stadium
• Add exterior lighting / locations various (includes main quad area)
• Repair stadium berm erosion
• Add concrete walkways / locations various
• Construct shade structure for severe special education students (west of 300 quad)
• Construct additional student / staff parking on campus
