Higher Standards in Our Classrooms
Quality Schools and Classrooms
Measure W will build new schools and classrooms needed to
relieve overcrowding at Antelope Valley high schools, including:
• Two new high schools to educate 2,500 students each and
reduce serious overcrowding at Highland, Knight and Palmdale
High Schools.
• More classrooms and science labs at Quartz Hill, Eastside
and Lancaster High Schools.
• Improved campus security and a safer learning environment
for our children.
Higher Educational Standards
Measure W will provide local high schools with the facilities
to raise academic standards and improve their curriculum.
• Higher student test scores. Studies show that students perform
better in less crowded schools.
• Greater opportunities for AV students to successfully compete for
university admissions and scholarships.
• More Advanced Placement courses that many colleges and
universities now require.
“Law enforcement supports Measure W because it will reduce campus crime and make our schools safer.”
