Higher Standards in Our Classrooms

Quality Schools and Classrooms

Measure W will build new schools and classrooms needed to
relieve overcrowding at Antelope Valley high schools, including
:

Two new high schools to educate 2,500 students each and
reduce serious overcrowding at Highland, Knight and Palmdale
High Schools.
More classrooms and science labs at Quartz Hill, Eastside
and Lancaster High Schools.
Improved campus security and a safer learning environment
for our children.

Higher Educational Standards

Measure W will provide local high schools with the facilities
to raise academic standards and improve their curriculum.

Higher student test scores. Studies show that students perform
better in less crowded schools.
Greater opportunities for AV students to successfully compete for
university admissions and scholarships.
More Advanced Placement courses that many colleges and
universities now require.
